Gypsy Kitchen, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, 3035 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305, www.gk-atl.com
Travelers no longer have to visit the Salamanca District in Madrid to shop and experience an authentic communal Spanish culinary delight. Gypsy Kitchen, located in The Shops of Buckhead, offers patrons a luxurious and communal dining experience with culinary influences of Spain – including Moroccan traditions infused with modern day Spanish and Iberian dishes. This communal experience includes an outdoor patio which hosts a live Spanish guitar and Flamenco music on select nights, which augments the restaurant’s vibrant ambiance created by New-York architect Lacine Heitler.
For starters, Gypsy Kitchen’s plentiful Spanish tapas are satisfying for any group gathering derived from the southwest coast of Andalusia to the Basque and the Galician regions of the north. There are a variety of starters to choose from including: the house Spanish olives, za’atar-roasted Marcona almonds, house cured boquerones, and toast with choices of tomato fresco, quince paste with Manchego cheese, roasted sweet onions with Cabrales blue cheese and honey; or Marcona almond nutella and shaved chorizo. Other starters include: the kataifi-wrapped chorizo paired with stuffed shrimp and saffron aioli; and the Medjool dates rolled with Cabrales blue cheese and jamón Serrano.
Gypsy Kitchen’s signature Serrano-wrapped N.C. trout with a salsa of fava beans and Spanish olives is a favorite for communal dining as a main selection; along with the spice roasted root vegetables with couscous Casablanca.
Gypsy Kitchen’s Spanish cocktails offer an innovative selection inclusive of Spanish ingredients with spices like smoked paprika, cloves and saffron-infused gin made in-house.
Gypsy Kitchen offers a stylish and authentic Spanish cuisine for restaurant patrons to enjoy, explore and eat FAB.
